FAQ

Questions people actually ask.

Short, plain answers. If yours is not here, write to us.

What does Whisper-Line do?

It listens while you practice a coding problem out loud, transcribes what is said, detects the question the moment it is asked, and sends an answer to a second screen — a monitor, tablet or phone — while your main screen stays as it is.

How much does it cost?

Whisper-Line Pro is $25 a month, cancel any time. See the pricing page for the full detail.

Is there a free trial?

Yes. Every new account gets 3 days or 500,000 tokens (about 50–100 AI answers) — whichever ends first — at up to 10 requests per minute. No card needed to start.

What is your refund policy?

See the billing page for the exact rules. In short: refunds are provided when required by applicable law, by the merchant of record, or when we have expressly offered one in writing.

Which AI model does it use?

A hosted AI Engine we run for you — there is no vendor name to remember and nothing to configure. Advanced users can point a source checkout at a model they run themselves; that is a developer path, not part of normal setup.

Does my audio or code leave my machine?

Your speech is transcribed locally, on your machine, on every plan — audio is never uploaded. What is sent to the AI Engine is only the text needed to answer: the transcript of your question, if you turned it on, the code file you pointed the app at, and, if Capture screen is on, the text read from your screen.

Does it work offline?

No. Transcription runs locally, but answering a question needs the hosted AI Engine, which needs an internet connection.

Can I use a second device for the display?

Yes. The display page opens on any device on your own network — a second monitor, a tablet or a phone in a stand — with a read-only, expiring link from the app.

Can I cancel any time?

Yes. Cancel from your account page whenever you like — there is no minimum term.

How do I get support?

Use the support form, or email [email protected] directly.

What are the system requirements?

Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit. No GPU needed — transcription runs fine on an ordinary laptop CPU. macOS is not available yet.

Do I need an API key?

No. Sign in, accept the terms once, and you are practicing — nothing to paste, nothing to install beyond the app itself.
